Welcome to
H.T.C.C.
At the Horse Therapy Centre of Canada, we believe in the extraordinary power of connection—connection with nature, with animals, and with each other.
Our therapy programs are not just about treatment; they are about transformation. We create a sanctuary where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can find healing, hope, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Whether it’s through the gentle guidance of a horse, the serenity of our natural surroundings, or the playful exploration of therapy, we are dedicated to helping each person unlock their potential and reclaim their well-being.

What We Do
At the Horse Therapy Centre of Canada (HTCC), we offer a diverse range of therapeutic
programs designed to heal, inspire, and empower:
- Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT): Our EAT program leverages the deep, intuitive connection between humans and horses to help individuals navigate emotional and psychological challenges. This powerful therapy fosters personal growth, emotional regulation, and a profound sense of connection.
- Nature-Based Therapy: Immersed in the natural beauty of our surroundings, our nature-based therapy taps into the restorative power of the environment. Whether it’s the quiet rustle of leaves or the gentle flow of a stream, nature plays a crucial role in supporting mental and emotional well-being
-
Play Therapy: For children, play is not just fun; it’s a vital part of how they express themselves and process their emotions. Our play therapy sessions provide a safe and nurturing space where children can explore their feelings, develop coping mechanisms, and work through challenges in a way that feels natural to them.
- Culturally Safe Therapy: We are committed to offering culturally safe therapy that honors and respects the diverse cultural values of those we serve. Our therapists are trained to provide care that is not only effective but also culturally sensitive, ensuring that everyone feels seen, heard, and respected.
-
Therapeutic March Break and Summer Camps: Our camps provide a safe and accepting environment for children aged 4-17, whether they have a specific diagnosis or simply need a place to feel welcome. With an anti-bullying, anti-oppressive approach, we create a space where every camper can thrive, connect, and have fun.
-
Therapeutic Retreats: Our group-based camping retreats offer a chance to relax, reconnect, and rediscover yourself alongside our empathetic and compassionate therapists. Whether you’re looking to heal, recharge, or find clarity, our retreats provide the perfect setting. Learn more at peakperformancecamps.com.
-
Corporate Team Building: We have proudly led some of the area’s top leaders, including Canadian Olympic coaches, Children’s Aid Society, and MasterCard, in customized team-building programs. Whether you’re addressing internal inconsistencies, improving communication, or strengthening teamwork, we tailor our programs to meet your company’s specific needs.
- Fun Activities: We believe that joy and connection are key to well-being. That’s why we offer a variety of fun activities like goat yoga, pony pals, family time with ponies, birthday parties, and much more. These activities are designed to bring people together in a spirit of fun and relaxation.
Who We Serve
Our doors are open to everyone, and we are committed to meeting the needs of a diverse range of individuals and communities:
All Ages: From children to seniors, our programs are tailored to fit the needs of every age group.
Mental & Emotional Health: We provide support for those facing mental health challenges, emotional struggles, and trauma.
Many Communities: We welcome participants from all backgrounds, ensuring that everyone has access to the healing power of our programs.
Marginalized Groups: We are dedicated to serving marginalized and underserved communities, ensuring they have access to the care they need.
How To Help
Your support makes a difference. Here’s how you can get involved:
Volunteer on Your Day of Purpose: Join us at HTCC to make a direct impact on the lives of those we serve. Your time and energy can help bring healing to those in need.
Donate: MillerKnoll employees can contribute their $60 donation to sponsor therapy for individuals who otherwise might not have access to our services. Every donation helps us continue our mission.
Spread the Word: Help us reach more people by sharing information about HTCC with your community. The more people know about our work, the more lives we can touch.
Day of Purpose Activities
At the Horse Therapy Centre of Canada, it takes a lot of dedication and effort to keep our farm running smoothly. Extra hands are always welcomed and appreciated, especially on your Day of Purpose. By joining us, you can make a meaningful impact on our programs and the lives of those we serve. Here are some of the activities you can sign up for:
Painting: Help refresh our spaces by painting fences, barns, or therapy areas. Your work will add a touch of warmth and care to our environment.
Organizing and Cleaning: Assist in organizing our therapy rooms, offices, and communal spaces, or help clean the barns and animal areas. Your efforts will help us maintain a welcoming and efficient space for all.
Farm Clean-Up (Heavy Debris): Roll up your sleeves and help us clear heavy debris from the farm. This essential task ensures a safe and clean environment for our animals and visitors.
Gardening & Landscaping: Contribute to the beauty and serenity of our grounds by planting flowers, tending to gardens, and maintaining our landscapes. Your green thumb can create a peaceful and therapeutic atmosphere.
General Repairs & Maintenance: Put your handyman skills to work by assisting with repairs and maintenance tasks around the farm. From fixing fences to minor repairs, your help keeps everything running smoothly.
You can sign up for the activities that interest you most using the forms provided below. Simply select the tasks you’d like to assist with, and we’ll make sure you’re all set for a rewarding and productive Day of Purpose.
