Camp Safety
We Keep Your Children Safe
Physical
Safety
We all lived through the pandemic, and we all know how incredibly important physical safety is.
HTCC is committed to ensuring your child’s physical safety:
Welcome team upon arrival and at home time
Hand washing stations
Horse & animal safety training and protocols
Supervised activities
Supervision on bus
Trained, professional staff
Professional Staff
We only hire professional, mature staff to supervise our campers. While we do have junior camp counselors on staff, they are in Aide positions, not supervisory roles.
We have a wide range of professional staff members: Psychotherapists, Registered Social Workers, Early Childhood Educators, Teachers, Nurses, Applied Behaviour Analyst Therapists, Child and Youth Workers, and more.
Emotional Safety
Emotional safety is as important as physical safety. We ensure that your child is in an inclusive, welcoming environment where they are encouraged to process openly and where staff, campers, and management respond accordingly to their needs.
First Aid Trained Staff
We have therapists, administrators, and camp counselors who are all trained in first aid and CPR. We take our campers’ health and safety very seriously and ensure that we have trained staff on at all time to help with camper injuries and medical emergencies.
